Aden Country Park welcomes around 165,00 visitors to 87 hectares of accessible open space each year. Our park based staff ensure the park is clean, safe, secure and well maintained.
Our visitors can experience a flavour of our agricultural heritage at the working farm with seasonal guides and demonstrations, visit the on site museum housed in a 19th Century curved steading, North East Folklore Archive and the Victorian Arboretum. Or watch and equestrian event at the horse arena, visit the craft shop, restaurant or ice cream kiosk, let the children play in the adventure play area or explore the tree house or ruined mansion, the 14 hectares of maintained grass or 49 hactares of managed woodland.
Experience the textures and scents in the sensory garden, join the local community for the numerous events regularly held in the park including pipe band competitions and the folk festival or join one of the educational and fun activities offered by our own Countryside Rangers. Dogs under control are welcome and catered for with the agility course.
We offer ample parking spaces although you may prefer to arrive by bus, bicycle or on shanks pony whilst walking the Formartine and Buchan Way. With ample toilet and baby changing facilities, good information and interpretation, a wide variety of flora and more than four miles of surfaces paths offering access to all, all year round everyone will find something of interest or a welcoming, peaceful area in which to relax.
