Ravelston Woods Local Nature Reserve and Park

Ravelston Woods was declared a Local Nature Reserve in April 2002. This ensured the protection of this pocket sized urban woodland with its renowned ancient bluebells and formalised its importance for nature conservation as well as its great landscape value.

The area provides local people with a pleasant place to escape city life, walk their dog, take some exercise and enjoy wildlife.
