Cambuslang Park

Cambuslang Park sits on the on the south eastern fringe of Glasgow. This beautiful greenspace spans 10 hectares, encompassing the contrast of open parkland and the naturalness of Borgie Glen, a steep wooded gorge on west side of the park. The park dates back to 1913 and has a number of features dating back to then including the amphitheatre, the pond and the famous Preaching Braes.
The park can be accessed through any of the ten entrances spread around the perimeter of the park and visitors can navigate through out the park using the comprehensive network of paths. The east side of the park offers visitors basketball, football and tennis practice in the Multi Use Games Arena. There is a specialised play area and out door gym catering for young and old looking for fun and exercise. There are three grass football pitches for more formal recreation against the back drop of open parkland, formal flower beds and the newly introduced bog garden.
The west side of the park is a more natural greenspace offering a countryside feel in an urban area. The Borgie Glen runs open through this side of the park encompassing woodland and water habitats. Come and discover the plants and animals in the quiet woodland walks or take a stroll through the wildflower rich grasslands and look for butterflies.
No matter if you wish to chase active pursuits or enjoy the quiet solitude of mother nature Cambuslang Park is waiting for you.
