As we celebrate Volunteers' Week, we wanted to say a massive thank you, to both our volunteer Green Flag Award assessors and all the volunteers working hard to keep green spaces at award standard.
Over 700 knowledgeable and enthusiastic volunteers are busy at this time of year, assessing applicants for the Green Flag Award. They give their time and dedication, without which we couldn't run the award program. So to all our judges, we would like to say a very big thank you.
But they aren't the only volunteers we would like to thank. Thousands more are working behind the scenes, in all weathers, to maintain green spaces at the award standard. Others are providing additional events or facilities to park users. To all you unsung heroes, we would like to say a very big thank you.
