Werribee Park

Werribee Park has been successful in achieving an international Green Flag Award.

Parks Victoria is pleased to announce that Werribee Park has been awarded a Green Flag Award, the international mark of quality for parks and green spaces. This is the first Parks Victoria site to be awarded a Green Flag and demonstrates that the park meets high standards of management, provides access to quality open space, and recognises the hard work of volunteers, managers, staff and local residents.

Werribee Park is an outstanding cultural attraction offering an authentic insight into Australia’s rich and diverse history.

Werribee Park’s award-winning Working Beyond the Boundaries community engagement program welcomes over 200 volunteers each week to assist the park’s dedicated horticultural team, many of whom are from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds joining others with a range of abilities and skills to help tend the gardens.

Why not plan a visit and enjoy a picnic, explore the formal gardens and marvel at the expansive manicured landscape, intricately designed grotto and ornamental lake.
